POSThome, THE NEW RESIDENTIAL CONCEPT LAUNCHED IN MILAN: THE EXPERIENCE OF LIVING AND WORKING IS CHALLENGED AND ENRICHED THANKS TO A SMART LIVING APPROACH.
POSThome is an innovative project designed during the recent lockdown between Rome and London by Claudia Campone, founder at Thirtyone Design firm. A creative methodology has led through a meticulous analysis of the idea of contemporary living re-thinking the current residential spaces and functions to finally define innovative solutions. Located at the 3 rd floor of a 1930s townhouse in Milan via Teodosio 15, this new concept is launched in partnership with a selection of brands which will participate the process of shaping new living formats targeting the end of November 2020 inauguration.
POSThome represents the ideal home prototype aiming to propose safe and comfortable solutions for both the individual and the community, a space as a shelter still keeping a close eye to the contemporary living trends. Designed as a residential project POSThome is indeed a home working solution, the answer to the need of hybrid spaces where one can stay and have meeting in a simple and pleasant way.
This is a non-lieu where the storytelling density offers immersive experience opportunities as the contemporary design integrates innovative technology solutions: POSThome is a showroom space for the partners that have been able to redefine their production and supply chain management.
Located in the heart of Città Studi, walking distance from Lambrate area, the hybrid space layout of POSThome is sequentially organized through the introduction of an innovative vestibule; planned as a filtering-volume this space acts either as a personal sanitation system and a locker where one can safely receive deliveries avoiding any interaction with the rest of the house.
By introducing a central leading volume, the 50 sqm apartment challenge todays prevailing idea of walls and partitions. Each function is clearly identified in space, continuously connected to other functions, in a fluid layering of movement, lines and colours. The natural light is free to reach every corner and amplify every surface and texture. Colors have been specifically introduced after an accurate selection of nature inspired mid-tones contributing to a general feeling of quiet and wellbeing.
A remote management system integrating mobile app and smart living technology offers a completely user-friendly experience whether the POSThome will be used for homeworking, showrooming or simply for meeting.
The project interprets and embodies the new-normality concepts where every experience should be easily sharable and accessible thanks to technology innovation. The research activity along with the building works which are making it happen in Milan, are the necessary experimentation to make POSThome an international project to be implemented everywhere with a glocal approach.
